Noob Blog Question

I don't know if anyone else has found this irritating or if it's just me. I can't figure out if there is a way to be able to turn something on or click something so that I can be notified when a person replies to a question I put on their post. Or do I just have to keep checking back to see if they replied? Wow, I hope this wasn't confusing..My boss is in the office talking so I can't think of what to write and keep hearing her voice. lol.

If you guys know how to go about doing the above task let me know. I just want to be able to get an email or notification if someone replies back to a question I asked on their blog.

Thanks <3

Day 30: A Picture

I chose today as my day 30 since today is the last day of the month..plus I was completely exhausted last night.

I think in a few days I'll be doing a "All About Me" post. :) But with pictures.. Anna at Embellishments here gave me the idea with her Unrelated Thursdays. (which I totally love and think is an awesome idea!).

So stay tuned! And if you'd like to do this 30 day blog challenge..go for it!

The Mail is Here: Target Sample Bag

I didn't actually think I would be getting this since they had limited quantities but it's here! Oh, I suppose I should share what I got with you...duh! :)

So it all started with a blog post by Anna at Embellishments ( Here ). She did a post about Target giving away a bunch of samples in a cute little makeup bag. I couldn't help but jump onto Target.com and sign up for this lovely bag of goodies. Who doesn't love free samples?

Isn't this the cutest little makeup bag ever?! I think so!

I was so excited that I actually received one of these because I figured probably 1,000's of people signed up for this offer and that I might not get one.

It's a cute little makeup bag with a purple and periwinkle blue design on it and zipper closure.

Inside it's the same colors as the front but says Sonia Kashuk all over! It's super soft too and the perfect size to hold lip glosses, lip sticks, mascara, eye shadow and whatever else you want to throw in it.

The thing I love about it is that it's small enough to fit in my smallest purse!

Now.... On to everything that came inside of this adorable bag!

It doesn't look like a lot and for some reason I thought there would be more but it's still awesome because there are quite a bit of samples to try out.

I can't wait!

There are sampoo samples, lotion, chapstick, coupons and lip gloss.

9mL each

The first one we'll start with is the Fekkai Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm really excited to try this out because my hair is always dry.

The Shampoo: Smoothes and Defrizzes.
The Conditioner: Rich Hydration, Smooth Detangling.

On the back of the Shampoo it says "Rich, creamy shampoo, with shea butter, smoothes ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair and leaves hair feeling moisturized.

On the back of the Conditioner it says "Rich, hydrating conditioner, with shea butter, detangles and smoothes ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair.

This would have to be one of my favorites from this sample bag.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss! IN HOT PINK!!! Yay! I'm excited. I've been wanting to try out their lip glosses but I never know what color I want to get and how they look.

I think it was meant to be for me to get the hot pink one.. unless they sent the hot pink to everyone! OH NO! lol

Next is the Nivea Express Hydration lotion with sea minerals and lotus flower scent.

It smells great and I'm a picky lotion scent person.

The lotion comes in a 1 fluid ounce bottle.

The Pantene Pro-V Shampoo sample is a 50mL bottle. It's even gentle enough to use on color-treated hair. It states on the bottle "Flat to Volume". I hope it lives up to that cause I could use some VoLuMe in my life! :)

The last sample in the bag is the Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm with Vitamin E that nourishes & soothes.

No harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates. Plus it's a dermatologist recommended brand.

I just tried this lip balm and I'm a picky lip balm person as well because I can't stand the cherry lip balms (they're nasty) and I'm not a big minty lip balm person.

I usually just stick to the plain lip balms and this one is perfect. Plus I don't get this weird taste in my mouth from licking my lips with it on.

Last in the bag of lovely samples is this cute little booklet of coupons! There's $1 off Revlon items, Burts Bees, Neutragena, Sally Hansen, Nivea, and much more! Some are $1 off, $0.75 off, $3 off! I can't wait to go shopping!

Did anyone else get in on this offer and receive their sample makeup bag?

Day 28: Something that stresses Me out

My Stress Factor:
Money
Work
Cars
Life
Family
Friends (definitely)

There's just so much. Money stresses me out because I never seem to have enough and bills are always due when I want to buy stuff. So needless to say, I never get to really buy anything for myself.
Work stresses me out because I always seem to have so much to do..From website stuff to helping pack boxes. It's crazy but in a way it's a good kind of stress. Keeps you on top of your toes!

Cars are stressful because it seems like every time you fix one of them, the other breaks or something just isn't working properly.

Life is always just stressful because you have to deal with people who don't know how to drive. You sit in traffic for hours trying to get home and relax from a long day at work. Of course, there's also....GAS PRICES!! *shutters* We won't even talk about that.

Friends and Family are last on my list of stress because really, it's a stress we all have. lol. I don't need to go into detail on that one. :)

Have a Great MONDAY!

Love my bf more than ever!
Put family before friends

FOTD March 27, 2011: Bronzy Brown

Today I thought I would do a bronzy brown look to compliment my eyes... since they are BROWN.. haha.

To Start: I used my Urban Decay Primer Potion and put that all over my eye lids and below my brow.

Next: I used my Coastal Scents Sample eye shadow in the little container. Color is Destiny. It's a really pigmented, beautiful bronze color. I love how it goes on and how pigmented it is! I used my coastal scents eye shadow brush to apply this. Since it's so pigmented you only need a little, so use sparingly!

Next: I chose a really pretty dark brown for my crease and applied that with my coastal scents puffy crease brush. I decided that today I was going to use my "No Name" palette because I never really use it and it's just sitting there. The only thing I do not like about this palette is that the eye shadows stink. They have this weird smell. Plus they go on a little weird. I can't really describe it. But I do like that these seem to be a bit more pigmented than my coastal scents palette.

Next: I used my coastal scents blush brush and applied the top middle blush to my cheeks. It's a really light pink and since I'm still so new at using blushes, I don't want to over do it! haha No one wants to look like a clown.

Next: I used my NYX chrome eye shadow under my brows for a little bit of chrome color and it has sparkles so it gives my eyes a bit of sparkle. Then I used my NYC eye liner pencil on my lower water line and finished with L'Oreal Double Extend Mascara.

Finish: I finished this look by using a lighter brownish pink lipstick.

Wow, my camera makes my face look really yellow and shiny! Ewwww!

Day 26: Picture of My family

FOTD March 26, 2011: Baby Doll ;)

I figured calling this look "Baby Doll" was super cute. I wanted to do a mix of purples today and actually wear a cute pink blush and lipstick. Of course, my coastal scents palette makes my eyeshadow look pink when it was really purple in the pan. Oh well.

For this look I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion, Coastal Scents 88 prism palette, coastal scents pink brushes, no name makeup palette lip stick and blush and finally ended it with L'oreal double extend mascara.

Just ignore my crazy hair to the right ====>
I didn't feel like doing my hair today since I was going to be getting dirty lol.

This is my First time wearing a pink blush and I hope I didn't overdo it because I kinda know when too much is TOO MUCH.

For my eyes I used a lighter purple all over my lid and then used a dark purple along my crease and slightly above. Then used a light peachy color for highlighting my brow.

I actually really like the no name makeup palettes lipstick choices. I chose a really pretty, baby pink. I'm really a big fan of pinks whether it's eyeshadow, lipstick or nail polish! I love it!

I hope you all liked my blog post of today's Makeup look! What did you guys think? Too much blush? Or just right? Let me know, because I want everyone's opinions on this look and future looks! Thanks!

Day 25: Something I could never get tired of doing

That would definitely be working on cars!  I love working on my car and helping others work on theirs. I use to work on my car quite often but now that we live at an apartment complex, it's a little bit harder. lol

Day 24: Something I've learned

There's quite a bit that I've learned but something I have learned that I am trying to work on is to not hold a grudge and to forgive. I was listening to a Marriage Council Conference CD and they were talking about how you should not hold grudges and to forgive.

Day 23: Favorite Vacation

California!!! I was born and raised there my entire life, up till December 2008 when I moved in with my boyfriend out of state.

We ended up going to California for a week because my grandma was having surgery for cancer.

Hard Rock Cafe in San Francisco, CA

Just getting my day started at a friends house

Bf and I eating with my mom at Carl's Jr.

Best Place Ever!! Hot Dog on a Stick! Yum

Sephora! This one just opened up not too long after I moved

Dad driving

Part of my family waiting in the hospital for my grandma's surgery

A Boat at the Pier in San Francisco, CA

Cable Car Ride! It was awesome!

I loved this part of the trip! Plus the hot asian guy running the brakes ;)

Japantown! Most awesome place ever!!

Deal of the Day: E.L.F Cosmetics!

Target.com is having a pretty good offer, I think anyway. Now, correct me if I'm wrong at any point during this post.

Target is doing FREE SHIPPING when you purchase 2 E.L.F cosmetics! So for $10 you get free shipping. Feeling lazy? Stay home and order it from Target.com! hehe.

The thing that I'm not sure on is if the free shipping applies to some of the other cosmetics. I haven't tested that theory yet. But this is pretty good since E.L.F products are pretty cheap and shoot, who doesn't love free shipping?!

Enjoy!

Day 22: Favorite city

San Francisco, CA

I miss being in the city and I would have to say this is my favorite city because there's just so much to do. Chinatown, Japantown, the Pier and of course the Golden Gate Bridge.
