Dallas Trip Part 1

Sorry I have been a little M.I.A lately. The boyfriend, Ashley, Nick and I went up to Dallas/Fort Worth for a car event this past weekend and I've been really busy before and after that event. Haven't found much time to blog but I will try to blog at least once a week.

Stormy day and the Sun was shining through [ Photo by me ]

1.) Mood:

 It's pretty much been one of those days [weeks] where I just want to jump off a cliff. I have been depressed, not wanting to eat really and just stressed beyond belief. So my mood is pretty much blah right now.

2.) What do you hear right now?

 Rap music out in the warehouse and my fan sitting next to me.

3.) Do you have any tattoos?

I do not. I'm not sure if I'll ever get one or not because I don't know what I would want.

4.) Current nail polish:

Nothing. I haven't painted my nails in a long time, simply because I'm just too lazy to keep up with it.

5.) What is your favorite pair of shoes?

Probably my purple checkered vans. I tend to wear them everywhere!

6.) Current outfit:

Purple checkered vans, Old Navy jeans, old navy tank top [pink] and my Bullrito's shirt. Nothing too fancy. Just comfy!

7.) Do you collect anything?

I don't really collect anything anymore. Besides photos but I will eventually be scrapbooking those.

8.) What is your favorite perfume (or body/soap scent if you don't wear perfume)?

Probably Very Sexy by Victoria's Secret [for now]. I want to get the Katy Perry perfume that is the cat shaped bottle.

9.) Do you feel younger or older than your current age?

I feel older. My bf is 30 and I'm 24 and I think I act way older than he does. I'm always worrying about money, bills, cars, just everything pretty much and when it comes down to certain activities and such, I'm more mature.

10.) Weekly goals:

Go to Petsmart and use all 9 of my coupons for Free Cat Treats. I pretty much have 9 coupons for 1 free bag of cat treats and Petsmart has a coupon for BOGO and so I can get 2 bags free. Meaning, if I use all 9 coupons I'll have 18 bags of cat treats for free. I'm going to donate quite a few of them since I just have one kitty. Other than that I need to catch up on the bills and get some more sleep

Skintimate Cream Shave [Not a Gel] Review

Hello Ladies! I know I said I was moving out of the beauty products world and into just doing a regular blog but I couldn't help but give a review on this. Most of the reviews I've read are negative. People seem to really hate this cream because it's that, a cream, not a gel. Well I'm here to set you all straight! 

Skintimate Cream Shave:
I picked this bottle up for FREE at CVS by using a $1 off manufacturer's coupon and a $1 off CVS coupon. Score! 

This was my first time using a "cream" shave product. I've always stuck with just the gel ones because....well, I don't know. HaHa!

Anyway, This smells exactly like flower petals. I'm not sure I'd say I loved the smell but it was better than a full on rose garden which I know some shave gels do smell like that. I'm more of a passion fruit or candy smelling product type of girl.

Most people complained about this product being more of a lotion form than a shaving product. I don't fully agree with that. It comes out of the container like a lotion but when you spread it on your legs, arms or underarms, it's more of a satiny smooth cream rather than a lotion that pretty much goes on and doesn't hardly wipe off.

I personally didn't see anything wrong with this shave cream. It doesn't lather up like that of the gel form but it does spread really nicely and you don't have to use a ton.

I did hear a lot of people complaining about getting more nicks and cuts with this over the gel form. I didn't seem to have a problem using this cream. I have no nicks or cuts and it did make my legs really soft afterwards due to the vitamin E and soy.


 Would I buy this product again? I probably would, as long as there was another scent I could get. This scent does leave a nice, clean smell on you but like I said above....I <3 candy and fruity smells over flowery smells.

I don't see why I wouldn't buy this product again. The negative reviews on this didn't really pop up when I was using it. Therefore, I see no reason in why someone else couldn't fall in love with this shave cream. If you're out and about and need a new shave cream, try this one and let me know what your opinions are, you might just like it too!

Packaging:

I'd have to say that I actually like the packaging. It has a cut flower pop-open opening and it's made entirely of plastic.

Sometimes I don't like the can ones because if they fall on your feet, it hurts! This will still hurt but not as much! Big perk!

 Product [Texture]:

The cream comes out of the tube nicely and the consistency is that of a lotion. However, less thick.

The overall texture of this cream is smooth. I know some creams kind of have a rougher texture to them, this one does not. It's smooth all the way through!

The End:

Overall, this is a great product. Others may think differently than I do but in the end, it's all based on what you, the consumer, thinks!

No one can tell you "oh hey, that product sucks" because in the end it could have sucked for them and it could be the best thing ever for you. Each one of us is different and we are affected differently by different products. I hope you all enjoyed my review. Since I'm not really into doing a makeup blog anymore I've decided that one of the other things I'm passionate about other than photography, my cat and my cars is couponing. I'm not an "extreme couponer" in any way, shape or form but I do LOVE getting items for really cheap or FREE.

Tonight I needed to go to Target and get some dog treats for an event I'm helping host tomorrow afternoon at a dog park. The event is called "Car meet gone to the dogs". Basically we are having a car meet at a dog park to raise donations for local shelters and fire victims [Texas has had some pretty crazy fires up north of me].  So far we've managed to get Red Bull to sponsor us and my friend, who grooms animals, will have her mobile unit out there to do nails and such. We have about 50 people that are coming which is AWESOME because I thought we'd maybe have 20 at the most.

So yeah, haha back on track here. I went to Target because I had a manufacturers coupon for $1.50/2 Milk Bone treats and a target coupon for $1.50/2 Milk Bone Treats. They retail for 2.89ea. I also had a target coupon for a free Whisker Lickins Cat Treat and a manufacturer's coupon for a free Lipton iced tea. So after using all of my coupons I ended up spending only $3.01 w/tax on 4 items =)

Since Petsmart is right next door, I ran over there because I had a manufacturers coupon for a free bag of Crave Cat Treats. Well I had heard that Petsmart had a manufacturers coupon for a free bag of Crave cat treats when you bought a bag. Score! So I ended up getting two bags for free!! [My cat is a happy camper]

Total spent on 6 items: $3.01
What I would have spent w/o coupons: $11.19 [ouch!!!!]

I would love to have Blue or Green eyes. Brown just doesn't get as many compliments but I guess the plus to having brown eyes is you can do more with makeup =)

7.) What is the best movie you've seen recently?

I think the last movie I saw was Cars 2. Super Cute!

Nope! Too shy..Can't do it! haha. I do sing with the bf in the car though

Button, then zip.

Bring boxes home for donations, pick up dog treats for the event I'm helping throw on Saturday. We are doing a dog park/car meet all in one to raise donations for local animal shelters and fire victims =)

Possibly saying goodbye

Sadly, I think I've decided to just delete this blog. I'm kind of over doing makeup reviews and such when I'm really just not as excited about makeup items as I once was and don't have money to spend on makeup items. In other words, I wasn't doing something super exciting to get everyone's attention and feedback. 

I think if anything I will just start a new blog of just everyday life stuff. It would be a blog about photos (which I'm into photography), my cat, makeup here and there and reviews on what I like and just stuff I'm interested in at the moment. I feel that having a blog dedicated to just makeup, really isn't my personality. I'm not a die hard makeup fanatic and can't see spending $100 on makeup that I won't even use. I'm more of one of those girls that only buys something if I really need it. I guess you can say I'm really thrifty with my money lol.

Anyway, I'll make the decision in awhile. I'm still thinking of having a giveaway though. I've been meaning on having one just haven't gotten around to it.
