Weekly Goodies: Schick Hydro Razor

This week I was able to score a great deal on some razors. I tend to go through razors pretty frequently. I found out about these razors through [ The Krazy Coupon Lady ]. I love her facebook page. If you're into couponing, check her out because she posts all of the great deals and what coupons to use with them. It's simple, easy and a great way to save money!!

The Schick Hydro Silk Razor packs came with one razor and one mini shave gel. Retail $5.97 - $4.00/1 Coupon = $1.97 ea!

I ended up picking up 6 packs and then 1 plain razor with an extra blade. Total spent $17.39ish for 7 razors. Great deal if you consider one razor retails for $9.57~ and a pack of 4 blades is over $13!! I could not pass this deal up.

I also got a few freebies this week. 1st one being dog treats. I don't have a dog, so I gave one back to my coworker and one bag to my boss for their dogs.

I also scored a free 12pk of Hot Apple Cider for the Keurig at work. I have to say it's actually pretty good!! Usually I'm not a fan of the little packets because they're usually not strong enough but this one is great.

I say a 16pk of this at Walmart yesterday and it retails for a little over $16!

Definitely a great thing to get free when they are a tad bit pricey.

That's it for my weekly goodies! Hope you all enjoyed my post and have a great weekend!!

I'm Hooked ^_^

Since I'm not really into doing a makeup blog anymore I've decided that one of the other things I'm passionate about other than photography, my cat and my cars is couponing. I'm not an "extreme couponer" in any way, shape or form but I do LOVE getting items for really cheap or FREE.

Tonight I needed to go to Target and get some dog treats for an event I'm helping host tomorrow afternoon at a dog park. The event is called "Car meet gone to the dogs". Basically we are having a car meet at a dog park to raise donations for local shelters and fire victims [Texas has had some pretty crazy fires up north of me].  So far we've managed to get Red Bull to sponsor us and my friend, who grooms animals, will have her mobile unit out there to do nails and such. We have about 50 people that are coming which is AWESOME because I thought we'd maybe have 20 at the most.

So yeah, haha back on track here. I went to Target because I had a manufacturers coupon for $1.50/2 Milk Bone treats and a target coupon for $1.50/2 Milk Bone Treats. They retail for 2.89ea. I also had a target coupon for a free Whisker Lickins Cat Treat and a manufacturer's coupon for a free Lipton iced tea. So after using all of my coupons I ended up spending only $3.01 w/tax on 4 items =)

Since Petsmart is right next door, I ran over there because I had a manufacturers coupon for a free bag of Crave Cat Treats. Well I had heard that Petsmart had a manufacturers coupon for a free bag of Crave cat treats when you bought a bag. Score! So I ended up getting two bags for free!! [My cat is a happy camper]

Total spent on 6 items: $3.01
What I would have spent w/o coupons: $11.19 [ouch!!!!]

Do you use coupons??

Is there a such thing as Free??

I know what you're probably thinking. Is she really going to turn this blog into couponing? No, no I'm not. This blog will always be about makeup and about every day life. I might need to change the title eventually because I pretty much talk about anything and everything!

Anyway, this morning I headed over to Petco and picked up a couple of items. I had a coupon for 2 free cans of Fancy Feast Cat Food. I also had a coupon for 1 free 3.5oz bag of dog treats. I ended up giving that coupon to a friend in my complex and ended up taking it back so I could see if I could find it at Petco, since Walmart didn't have them.
Luckily Petco had the Pro Plan Roasted Slices dog treats in stock. I was kind of hesitant to grab them because the coupon said Free up to $3.99 value. Petco had them priced at $5.99. Well after talking to the cashier, I ran back and grabbed them.

After ringing up my coupons. . . What would have been $7.17, I walked out of the store with FREE products. =]

If you're ever looking for great deals on anything, I suggest you check out The Coupon Posse's Blog. They (cause I'm sure it's more than one lady) find great deals at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target and pretty much every where in between. So feel free to follow her blog and start saving on some great deals!

I love spending $0.35

There is no way that I could ever call myself an "Extreme Couponer" mainly because I'm not one. Never will I be one. Lol. But I do love a good bargain!

I went to Walmart the other night because I had a couple of coupons that were expiring soon. One was for $2.00 off any size Tidy Cats kitty litter. The second one was for BOGO Whiska's Entrees.

Here's the prices:
Tidy Cats Litter: Sm Bag: $1.77 (free with $0.23 over)
Whiska's Entrees: $0.55 each.

I used both coupons and my final price for all 3 was $0.35 =]

I love getting good deals like this because after awhile Cat food and Cat litter get pricey. I know that with these coupons it's easier for me to get her essentials and be able to spend a little more on use getting groceries and stuff like that. =]

Do any of you use coupons on a regular basis?

The Mail is Here: Target Sample Bag

I didn't actually think I would be getting this since they had limited quantities but it's here! Oh, I suppose I should share what I got with you...duh! :)

So it all started with a blog post by Anna at Embellishments ( Here ). She did a post about Target giving away a bunch of samples in a cute little makeup bag. I couldn't help but jump onto Target.com and sign up for this lovely bag of goodies. Who doesn't love free samples?

Isn't this the cutest little makeup bag ever?! I think so!

I was so excited that I actually received one of these because I figured probably 1,000's of people signed up for this offer and that I might not get one.

It's a cute little makeup bag with a purple and periwinkle blue design on it and zipper closure.

Inside it's the same colors as the front but says Sonia Kashuk all over! It's super soft too and the perfect size to hold lip glosses, lip sticks, mascara, eye shadow and whatever else you want to throw in it.

The thing I love about it is that it's small enough to fit in my smallest purse!

Now.... On to everything that came inside of this adorable bag!

It doesn't look like a lot and for some reason I thought there would be more but it's still awesome because there are quite a bit of samples to try out.

I can't wait!

There are sampoo samples, lotion, chapstick, coupons and lip gloss.

9mL each

The first one we'll start with is the Fekkai Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm really excited to try this out because my hair is always dry.

The Shampoo: Smoothes and Defrizzes.
The Conditioner: Rich Hydration, Smooth Detangling.

On the back of the Shampoo it says "Rich, creamy shampoo, with shea butter, smoothes ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair and leaves hair feeling moisturized.

On the back of the Conditioner it says "Rich, hydrating conditioner, with shea butter, detangles and smoothes ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair.

This would have to be one of my favorites from this sample bag.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss! IN HOT PINK!!! Yay! I'm excited. I've been wanting to try out their lip glosses but I never know what color I want to get and how they look.

I think it was meant to be for me to get the hot pink one.. unless they sent the hot pink to everyone! OH NO! lol

Next is the Nivea Express Hydration lotion with sea minerals and lotus flower scent.

It smells great and I'm a picky lotion scent person.

The lotion comes in a 1 fluid ounce bottle.

The Pantene Pro-V Shampoo sample is a 50mL bottle. It's even gentle enough to use on color-treated hair. It states on the bottle "Flat to Volume". I hope it lives up to that cause I could use some VoLuMe in my life! :)

The last sample in the bag is the Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm with Vitamin E that nourishes & soothes.

No harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates. Plus it's a dermatologist recommended brand.

I just tried this lip balm and I'm a picky lip balm person as well because I can't stand the cherry lip balms (they're nasty) and I'm not a big minty lip balm person.

I usually just stick to the plain lip balms and this one is perfect. Plus I don't get this weird taste in my mouth from licking my lips with it on.

Last in the bag of lovely samples is this cute little booklet of coupons! There's $1 off Revlon items, Burts Bees, Neutragena, Sally Hansen, Nivea, and much more! Some are $1 off, $0.75 off, $3 off! I can't wait to go shopping!

Did anyone else get in on this offer and receive their sample makeup bag?
